This has been a fairly good week. I have become a part of the robotics team at my school, got accepted into a very choosy organization, became the secretary and treasurer of la Société Honoraire de Français, and ate some bomb diggity salmon. Oh wait, you are wondering why I have joined the robotics team? Well, I can answer that! Because it has nice people, is actually open to suggestions I have to offer, and is absolutely FUN (Unlike something else I didn't get accepted into this week *cough Link cough*. Finally I am hanging out with people that understand my Joss Whedon references! BONUS! And no, I am not building robots like Warren from Buffy. I am (currently) working on the various sites management/social media aspect of the team. Huzzah!Unrelated hugging meerkats interlude: http://bit.ly/azL722
On a similarish subject, today I found out that I was accepted to be a part of the Rachel Alexandra Girls Grant Project. I will be on a committee that will choose which organizations in Kansas City deserve grant money. This is an amazing opportunity that I may or may not keep you updated about. I will if anything humorous occurs at the meetings but if nothing does, you may not hear about this again unless you follow me on twitter. Of course, humorous happenings seem to follow me around, so you will probably be filled in here.
I am going to skip the French and salmon things because they pretty much explain themselves. I would just like to add that they were both delicious. The French one was particularly tasty because I got to eat a croissant.
